Delius 150th Anniversary

2012

Frederick Delius was born in Bradford, Yorkshire, on 29th January 1862.  2012 is therefore his 150th anniversary, and The Delius Society is giving as much support as possible to publicising it, and securing performances of his music - particularly works which are rarely performed.

To this end, the Society:

  • has written to orchestras (both professional and semi-professional), choral societies, opera companies, music festivals and music colleges suggesting that they might include one or more Delius works in their programmes for 2012-2013.
  • is collaborating with a well-known publisher in the re-printing of a number of the classic books about Delius, written since his death.

Help us communicate the significance of the Delius anniversary by requesting copies of our A5-sized promotional flyer.  Perfect for displaying and distributing at concerts, social gatherings, music groups, choirs, and for anyone involved in music-making or appreciation.  Spread the word by requesting your Delius anniversay flyers now!  Contact: 2012@TheDeliusSociety.org.uk
