Evening Songs: Delius & Ireland Songs arranged for cello and piano
(Arr. Julian Lloyd Webber) Naxos: 8.572902

Renowned cellist Julian Lloyd Webber celebrates both composers in their anniversary year, in these sensitive arrangements, joined by his cellist wife Jiaxin Cheng and pianist John Lenehan.

This recording revives a tradition which was common at the beginning of the last century; arranging the best vocal music for instruments, of which the singing voice of the Cello is one of the best suited.
