The Delius Prize 2024

For piano, violin, viola, cello, voice, vocal or chamber ensemble.

Founded in 2004 by the generous sponsorship of the Delius Society, which exists to encourage interest in the life and works of Delius. This Competition is open to all current students of the Royal Academy of Music. Where piano accompanists form part of a duo, they must be current students or have graduated from the Academy not more than two years previously.

Students taking part must prepare a programme lasting no more than 20 minutes. At least 10 minutes of music must be by Delius, and should be a complete work or works. The programme may also include a work or works (part or whole) by other composers who were contemporaries of Delius (1862-1934).
