The Limpsfield Papers: a talk by Graham Dixon

Graham Dixon describes documents in the possession of Limpsfield Parish Church, which contain previously unknown material about the composer Frederick Delius and how he came to be buried in Limpsfield. The unfolding drama involves a large cast: Delius’s widow, the Rector and Curate, Delius’s assistant, various notable musicians, Mr Brasier the undertaker, the staff of Southern Railways and many others. The story also sheds some light on what life was like in 1930s Limpsfield. Wine and nibbles to follow.
