The Delius Prize 2024

Founded in 2004 by the generous sponsorship of the Delius Society, which exists to encourage interest in the life and works of Delius. This Competition is open to all current students of the Royal Academy of Music. Where piano accompanists form part of a duo, they must be current students or have graduated from the Academy not more than two years previously.

To be prepared: A programme of the students’ own choice, lasting not more than
20 minutes. At least 10 minutes of music must be by Delius, and
should be a complete work or works. The programme may also
include a work or works (part or whole) by other composers who
were contemporaries of Delius (1862-1934).
If a preliminary round is required it will take place on Monday 29 January 2024 from 10:00am in York Gate.
